Not much to say, I'm sick today, temp closer
to 38 degrees celsius so this what I whooped
up. Anyways, it's friday so I had to post.

Oh! almost forgot... yeah, now noisy bg instead
of metal/wood. It's not as intrusive but still
not as boooooring as just a gradient.

Have a nice we!

deco by bespin or not? how make different deco colors for different windows (dolphin and gwenview in screenshot for example)?

that's the "presets" function in bespin...
....run "bespin" and hover over the view
for help. You can have as many presets
as you have apps.

Amazing! How did you get your tabs to look like that? Do they look like that only on this fm?

Thanks!

BTW, could you share your bespin settings on this shot? ^^

Thx, no, the tabs are painted by the qstyle,
in this case, a heavily patched bespin.

Well, no, sry, that was some time ago and
I don't have the settings anymore, however,
it still wouldn't look the same with bespin
as I've patched it quite a bit.

I see, well even if I'm a programmer I'd rather having a beautiful desktop like that with an ugly code that not having it at all ^^ i gotcha tho

You are a programmer or just sayin? Well you see,
the qstyle plugin is a full blown c++ plugin that
runs within the application process, it has the
power to make the system veeeeery glitchy and unstable
but also very fast. It has complete control of the
widgets. Hence, I don't wanna release something
publicly that can potentially harm peoples workflow.

Many features are already implemented in bespin,
like for the noisey look, just set UNO to use
gradient "Stone" and you'll set.

The tabs will however not change in bespin
I suppose. There is a brushed metal structure
now also in bespin.

I'm glad you understand then :) I'm not sure
when / if I'll release any code as qt5 is just
around the corner it just seems stupid to
release another qt4 style atm.

Would you show me how I get this noisy look in UNO (titel and toolbar)? :)

:iconth3r0b:
Th3R0b Featured By Owner Jun 12, 2012
Rather not.... it involves a lot of patching,
one has to send info to the deco (back and forward)
plus I load a semi transparent noise pixmap for it.
The window manager is a completely different app
from the rest of the application so doing this is
not as straightforward as one might think.

It's likely to cause trouble when you update bespin.

So, I advice you not to do this.

BUT there is a bugreport in the bespin
wishlist asking about this, you can read what
Thomas thought on the matter here: [link]
bottommost comment. So there is still a chance
of this happening.

Always better to be sure, so if you're wondering
about smth, it's always better to ask.

Atm it seems like I'll never release my code
as qt5 is just around the corner, and then it
will make little to no sense at all to keep
developing a qt4 style.

Never said I'd make one, I just stated
that it's pointless developing on for
qt4 anymore :) ...on the other hand,
I never said I wasn't gonna make one
either, I've no idea if it will even
be possible with the most attention
being given to qml :(

You beated your past friday's shot. How did you draw that 'noisy' effect on windows? I love it!
You're using different bespin configs/borders at the same time??
Again, how did you do that ?? :wow:

38 C...and i was complaining about 30 C !

QPainter::drawTiledPixmap().... so you need
to speak C++ to do that. I do it the same way
as I do with the metal/wood bg I've so far tried.
I guess I could draw a pattern of women's vaginas
just to prove my point. Maybe next Friday. Then
again, my wife would prolly kill me if I did that
so I rather don't.

Yeah, the first thing that pops up when you
click configure bespin in the kde4 theme config
thingy, it says "Presets", haven't you
tried? you can have one app completely black
and the other red if you want to. There are
ready made presets that ships with bespin
(ifffffffffff you compiled from svn).

Nononono, my body tempereature, it's usually
about 36.5 or something like that. What I try
and say in plain english is that I have a fever,
a real fever, not like the one in the song.

Hahahahahahahaha! Man, i wish to see it next friday, but i'll understand if you prefer to save you marriage(but if you'll do,then you could have no excuse to be modest when people say you're f*cking great in customizing).

Yeah, that's embarassing for the other things you said...hehe, firstly i misread your comment, and i thought you were referring to external temperature ( sorry, after a week that i was sober, this evening i already drank 4 beers!no jokes).
I really didn't think that was possible using different bespin presets at the same time.

I'm sorry i'm making too much questions to you in these days. And sorry you're ill.

Iffff you however how a good idea on some other
structure that might look good I'm all ears :)

wood/metal/noise are the most used afaik tho.

Yeah no problem. Well I don't know what the time
is there but here it's almost midnight so saying
"already" seems kinda out-of-place but I know
what you mean :)

Yeah, just bind whatever apps in the list
and separate with a comma... like:
myDarkPreset dolphin, ark, stalkerApp9000 etc....

No problem at all.

I really don't know what time is here!
Nono, here it's 22.59 precisely, and i missed
some glasses of wine in my reply before ;)
But i have to say that i suffer of insomnia,
and i usually wake up at lunch time,
since i can't find a job.
( but prolly i couldn't find one since i wake up late,
it's a vicious circle)

I'll think about other pattern you could use.
But i'm afraid that there's nothing that
looks good as your previous proposal :(
(so in real life :( )

Thanks for the tip! Now i'll have fun with it!

Yeah that usually happens when one
has no reason to be outta bed for a
specific time. ofc there are a lot
of other patterns that are already
available with bespin.... like
scanlines etc.
