Yeah I'm writing my bachelor thesis (or whatever is called, I've no idea and I don't care) this summer also... a file manager in Qt/C++ which I will then write 40-60 pages in word about.... ...that will suck but writing the file manager is fun
Yes it is indeed, however, some programs use their own painting on the toolbars (custom widgets) that cannot be overridden, hence you'll always get black text there no matter what magic dance you'll perform. Ofc, bespin solves this with the presets system, so you can use different colors and looks on different apps, dunno why but I like to use pretty much the same config for all my apps..... maybe I need to re-invent myself I dunno. But yes ofc, the less you deviate from the black text on white background concept this all builds on the safer you are indeed.
I have so many things to learn about design and functions. And in KDE all is so new for me. If I see how your apps are looking like, I'm sure the most of all problems are solvable. Maybe not all in perfection.
